FULL
AUTO
George and his buddy Chris drive
down to Portland, Oregon, where George keeps his modest collection of submachine
guns. Yes, they are legal to own in this state, one of about 40 states that
permit civilians to own fully automatic firearms.
Miles from civilization George and
Chris blast away. The two submachine guns are the Ingram M-10 in 9 mm, made by
the Military Armament Corporation, Powder Springs, Ga., and the Ingram M-11 in
.380 Auto, made by MAC/Powder Springs, and RPB Industries, Atlanta, Ga. The
sound suppressors are: Sionics 9 mm suppessor with original wipe assembly, RPB
380 Auto, and RPB 380 Auto with a new baffle stack made by GemTech, Boise, Id.
The sound suppressor shown at the end of the clip is a Vortex-2 made by
GemTech. It has a sound reduction rating of 39 decibels. The Any Other Weapon
(AOW) is what most people consider to be a "sawed off shotgun". There is
difference between the two, and AOWs are legal to own in Washington State. This
AOW is based on a 20 gauge Mossberg Cruiser and was made by the well known Class
2 manufacturer John Norrell. Many thanks to Chris and to some military policemen
from the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln for helping make this video
clip.
The picture shown on this page is
from one of my most favorite paintings: "July 28, 1830 - Liberty Leads the
People" by Delacroix which is displayed at the Louvre. I have always identified
with the young lad except I would be carrying an Ingram submachine
gun.
This video clip is approximately 2
minutes long.
